A model change is a change of obligor that no product treats as one: succession instruments trigger on the operator's absence, drift tooling grades successor competence, portability moves state — none inventories what the dying model owed, makes a commitment's survival conditional on the successor's explicit evidence-backed re-signature, or gives a counterparty a verifiable certificate and a reliance check instead of a shrug. Both decisive quantities (open commitment value per long-lived agent; whether counterparties would check) were UNMEASURED at memo time; the lab's captive inventory was non-zero (modelled house stock 5 commitments / $525 open value per long-lived agent).
The service keeps an obligation ledger keyed to agent identity (escrow / retainage / bond / mandate / delivery). An operator-authenticated pin change opens a transplant window and freezes open commitments; the successor re-assumes each commitment with evidence at or above its class floor (escrow 0.60, retainage 0.60, bond 0.70, mandate 0.80) or the commitment unwinds under its own terms. Closing the window issues an HMAC-signed continuity certificate; a heartbeat presenting an undeclared model freezes the agent as UNDECLARED. Counterparties check first and get FROZEN / UNDECLARED / UNWOUND / RELY_OK.
Detection limit: an agent that never heartbeats cannot be caught externally; declaration/heartbeat is the detection surface. This service does not claim external detection of a silent transplant.
