Nobody can list what your agents left running — this census records every MCP subscription and durable task at birth, answers what is still running, delivering, or holding data in a principal's name, and proves what actually stopped.
A per-principal residue census for agent fleets, in three parts. (1) Creation ledger: a client/proxy shim records every durable object the fleet creates — (principal, server, kind: subscription|task, handle, tool/event, created, TTL granted) — at creation time, hash-chained and scoped by (principal, server), because neither the 2026-07-28 MCP Tasks extension (no tasks/list, by design) nor MCP Events subscriptions (no server-side listing) offers after-the-fact enumeration; the shim dedupes retries before calling the server, so a retry never spawns duplicate residue. (2) Unified census query: one answer across servers and both object kinds, with per-object verdicts LIVE / STOPPED-VERIFIED / STOP-UNCONFIRMED / UNCLAIMED-RETAINED / UNKNOWN, ttlMs:null flags at birth, reverification-overdue alerts, and unclaimed-result ageing alerts; pre-shim residue is declared UNKNOWN, never absent, and every census prints its coverage. (3) Verified-stop receipts: on cancel / unsubscribe / offboard, polling to terminal state (and, where a delivery tap exists, observed post-revocation silence) issues a signed receipt per object — the protocol acknowledgement alone proves nothing on either protocol, and a never-honored cancel issues honestly as STOP-UNCONFIRMED at the poll bound.
