Your agent's payments pass one pre-signing policy check — budgets, counterparty allowlists, velocity, intent, replay protection — and then settle on the rail your standing declaration chooses. One unmodified policy core drives two settlement adapters behind one interface: EVM / x402 (EIP-3009 authorizations via a facilitator) and XRPL (Payments whose replay window closes at validation, when the protocol consumes the account sequence; LastLedgerSequence is only the expiry ceiling). A rail oracle quotes every candidate rail at decide time — fee, expected finality, and replay-window exposure — picks per your declaration (pinned / cheapest / fastest finality / minimum replay exposure, with fee and finality caps), and receipts the choice with the payment. If the settled fee disagrees with the quote, the outcome is flagged QUOTE_MISMATCH, never silently re-quoted.
Operator-side only. Settlement runs through your own signer and your own funds. TextForAgents LLC never custodies funds or keys. There is no hosted or multi-tenant lane in v1, and rail selection is your standing declaration executed by the policy core — this is not a general payment-routing service for third-party transactions.
Limits, plainly: the shipped adapters are test doubles encoding each rail's published settlement semantics (the XRPL semantics were validated live on testnet in the lab: a real Payment validated with fee 10 drops, and a post-validation resubmission of the same signed blob was rejected tefPAST_SEQ by the protocol itself). The package's live path (railgate.live) is read-only XRPL testnet — ServerInfo / AccountInfo reads only; it never signs and never submits. No mainnet anything. Production settlement wiring to your own signer is yours to connect behind the adapter interface.
Pricing: the adapter package below is free (distribution). Hosted policy + rails service $2 per agent / month flat — no percentage of payment volume, ever. Rail fees themselves (e.g. XRPL ~$0.0002/tx) are pass-through at cost, never marked up. One-time trial: the first month of the hosted service is free for the first 10 agents, once per operator.
Get the package (v1.0.0):
railgate-1.0.0-py3-none-any.whl ·
railgate-1.0.0.tar.gz ·
pip install railgate-1.0.0-py3-none-any.whl — the vendored policy core inside is byte-identical to the lab-proven originals (sha256 manifest included in the package).
